At the 17th National Young Scientists Conference, the representative CIC Technology and Consulting Joint Stock Company excellently won the Third Prize with the research paper titled “Application of OpenSpace AI Solution in Progress Monitoring and Quality Control on Construction Sites.” The project was highly commended by the Council for its practicality, broad applicability, and significant contribution to the digital transformation of the construction industry.

The research focuses on a completely new method for site supervision: integrating time-stamped and geo-located 360° imagery with BIM models and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create a visual, transparent, and remotely inspectable "digital construction site." The OpenSpace solution facilitates automatic field data collection using 360° cameras, synchronizes it to a cloud platform, and utilizes AI analysis to track progress, detect construction deviations, manage quality, and mitigate project risks.
Practical implementation results indicate that the system helps shorten inspection time by 15–30%, detects issues as early as when the project reaches 10% volume (compared to 50% using traditional methods), reduces site visits by 50%, saves rework costs, and limits disputes through objective visual evidence.
The Professional Council evaluated the CIC team's paper as a clear testament to the efficiency of the "360° + BIM + AI" model, opening a new approach for construction supervision as the industry accelerates digital transformation. This achievement also affirms the research and implementation capabilities of CIC’s engineers regarding new technologies, while enhancing CIC’s position as a pioneering enterprise in technological innovation for Vietnam's engineering sector.

The 17th National Young Scientists Conference was organized under the theme "Construction Science and Technology with Innovation and Digital Transformation." The conference featured a total of 74 papers over 120 authors, including leading domestic and international scientists. The papers focused on key areas such as: Concrete and construction materials; corrosion and structural protection; climate change and sustainable development; smart cities; energy efficiency and green buildings; structures and construction technology; fire safety for buildings and structures; construction testing and inspection; BIM and AI applications in construction; geotechnics and surveying; technical infrastructure & MEP; and construction standards & codes.
The 17th National Young Scientists Conference concluded successfully, identifying exemplary young scientists. The presentations clearly demonstrated a spirit of innovation, creativity, and a strong digital transformation orientation, contributing to the successful implementation of Resolution 57 of the ry and the Construction Industry. Beyond their scientific value, the research projects possess high practical applicability, confirming the superior progress of scientific staff within and outside the Vietnam Institute for Building Science and Technology (IBST). The conference ended with a spirit of continuous research and innovation, continuing to make practical contributions to the development of the Construction industry.
